Intoxication can cloud judgment, sometimes leading individuals to commit acts they later regret. A tragic incident in Surajpur, Chhattisgarh, exemplifies this. A husband and wife were engaged in a drinking session when a dispute erupted. The husband, in a fit of rage, attacked his wife with a sharp weapon, leading to her death. The intoxicated husband then fell asleep next to her body. Upon waking, he was horrified to find his wife dead, prompting him to alert the neighbors, who then contacted the police. The man was arrested, and although remorseful, the damage was irreversible.
