With Navratri and Durga Puja concluding, Diwali is just around the corner. Many are planning to purchase cars before Diwali, prompting auto companies to offer double discounts to attract car buyers. This is primarily due to the implementation of GST 2.0, which has resulted in reduced vehicle prices. Furthermore, companies are providing special festive discounts, bonuses, corporate offers, and exchange schemes. Consequently, it has become easier and more affordable to buy hatchbacks, compact sedans, and SUVs this year compared to previous years.
**Tata Nexon: Maximum Savings**
The Tata Nexon tops the list, with customers potentially saving up to approximately ₹2 lakh. This includes a ₹1.55 lakh reduction directly attributed to GST, along with ₹45,000 in cash discounts, scrap offers, and corporate deals. Already popular in urban areas, the Nexon has become even more value-for-money.
**Honda’s Double Offer: Elevate and Amaze**
Honda is making a strong showing in both the SUV and sedan segments this season. The Elevate offers savings of up to approximately ₹1.22 lakh, comprising ₹91,100 in GST reduction and up to ₹31,000 in dealer bonuses. The aim is to compete with larger cars like the Creta and Seltos.
Special offers are available on the Amaze. The second-generation Amaze offers benefits up to ₹97,200. Meanwhile, the newly launched third-generation Amaze’s top-end ZX CVT variant boasts a discount of up to ₹1.60 lakh, including a ₹1.20 lakh GST cut and a ₹40,000 exchange bonus. This will help the new Amaze gain traction in the market quickly.
**Maruti Suzuki’s Range Offers**
For entry-level customers, the WagonR offers benefits up to ₹75,000, including cash discounts, scrap offers, and small corporate deals. The premium hatchback Baleno offers discounts up to ₹70,000, including cash, exchange, scrap, and accessory kits in some locations. The popular SUV Brezza has an offer of up to ₹45,000. Although the offer is lower, it reflects the company’s confidence in the Brezza’s strong demand.
**Hyundai Exter’s Deals**
Hyundai’s new budget SUV, the Exter, also offers benefits of up to ₹60,000. These offers are particularly focused on AMT and CNG variants, as their demand continues to rise. With the base prices of vehicles already reduced due to GST 2.0, savings have further increased with festive offers. The year 2025 is proving to be the most advantageous for car buyers, with customers enjoying record savings, while companies see an opportunity to increase sales during the festive season and build long-term customer relationships.
