Defense Minister Rajnath Singh observed Vijaya Dashami with the nation’s soldiers. Singh visited Bhuj, Gujarat, on the eve of Vijaya Dashami and participated in a traditional ‘Bada Khana’ with the armed forces personnel. During his address, he emphasized the rapidly changing global landscape and the complex challenges that continuously emerge.
He noted the accelerating evolution of technology, stating that what was once considered modern quickly becomes outdated. Singh stressed that while traditional threats persist, new challenges like terrorism, cyberattacks, drone warfare, and information warfare have increased multifaceted risks. He highlighted that these threats cannot be countered solely with weapons; mental strength, updated knowledge, and rapid adaptability are equally crucial.
Offering Vijaya Dashami greetings, the Defense Minister described it as a symbol of the triumph of good over evil, truth over falsehood, and righteousness over injustice. He acknowledged celebrating the occasion with the soldiers in Bhuj, known for their courage and resilience.
Singh urged the soldiers to undertake continuous training, embrace new technologies, and prepare for any situation. He asserted that wars are won not only with weapons but also with discipline, morale, and unwavering readiness. He emphasized the importance of adapting to new technologies and incorporating training into daily routines to be prepared for every circumstance. He stated that the military that continually learns and adapts to new challenges remains invincible in today’s world.
The Defense Minister assured the soldiers of the government’s commitment to their welfare, modernization, the honor of veterans, and the security of soldiers’ families, emphasizing that the well-being of the soldiers is of utmost importance.
He underscored that the dream of a strong, self-reliant, and developed India rests on the shoulders of the soldiers, whose dedication and sacrifice make this dream a reality every day. Singh proclaimed the 21st century as India’s era and noted that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is rapidly progressing toward self-reliance in the defense sector. He expressed confidence that with the commitment of the armed forces, India would soon be home to one of the world’s best militaries.
