Bollywood’s celebrated singer Shaan enthralled the audience at TV9 Bharatvarsh’s ‘Festivals of India.’ Shaan, known for his captivating voice and charming personality, has consistently won the hearts of fans. His songs are known for their freshness and unique style. Among his numerous hits, one song, in particular, has resonated deeply with listeners.
‘Aankhon mein sapne liye ghar se hum chal to diye… jaane ye raahein ab le jaayengi kahaan…’ These lyrics touch the hearts of those who embark on journeys away from home, leaving behind their familiar surroundings. The song is ‘Tanha Dil,’ which was released 25 years ago and continues to be a beloved anthem.
Shaan shared the story behind the song during an interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh. He mentioned his musical heritage, stemming from his father, Manas Mukherji, who was a prominent figure in Bengali cinema. This upbringing fostered his passion for music. Shaan began singing jingles for advertisements during his childhood and, at the age of 15-16, decided to pursue music professionally.
‘Tanha Dil’ is a special song for Shaan. He revealed that the song was created after the tune was composed by Ram Sampath. Shaan dedicated the song to his friends who had moved away, emphasizing the song’s significance in reminding him of them. The song is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
