A shocking incident unfolded in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, on Thursday, where a man killed his girlfriend by stabbing her at a petrol pump. The accused, angered by their recent breakup, has been arrested by the police. The event occurred within the jurisdiction of the Gandhinagar police station, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
Jogendra Paikra, 28, arrived at the Shri Kripa Fuels petrol pump on a motorcycle without a license plate. He was armed with an air pistol and a knife. Upon spotting his girlfriend, Bharti Toppo, 27, he dismounted and chased after her with the knife drawn.
Bharti attempted to evade him, fleeing towards the road. However, Jogendra caught up to her just 10 meters away. He then brutally stabbed Bharti in the abdomen, causing her to collapse on the road, bleeding profusely.
