Congress MP Imran Masood was showered with money during a qawwali program. Video of the incident, where notes were thrown at him, has gone viral on social media. The video is reportedly from the Gangoh area of Saharanpur. Masood’s twin brother, Qazi Nauman Masood, was also present at the event. While notes rained down on Imran, the qawwali performance continued. Women in attendance also participated in showering him with money. Nauman Masood, Imran’s twin, also threw money at the artists performing the qawwali.
The viral video has elicited various reactions on social media. Some users have called it a ‘drama’ and raised questions. Conversely, supporters have commented with slogans such as ‘Imran Masood Zindabad’ and ‘Nauman Masood Zindabad.’
