On October 2nd, India celebrated not only Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, but also Vijaya Dashami, the festival symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The nation observed Dussehra with fervor, and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organized its annual branches and parades.
