The Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, launched in the financial year 2016-17 under the economic development pillar of the Bihar government’s ‘Sushasan’ program (2015-20) and Seven Resolves, is being expanded. The initiative originally provided a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 to unemployed youth aged 20-25 who had completed their 12th standard or equivalent, offering support for up to two years. The scheme commenced on October 2, 2016. Continuing the program as part of the Seven Resolves-2 initiative, the state government has extended the scheme from 2021-22 to 2025-26. A recent decision has been made to include graduates (Arts, Science, and Commerce streams) among the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana, which was already in operation.
