Skoda India is preparing to launch the Octavia RS in the Indian market. The launch is scheduled for October 17th, with bookings commencing on October 6th. The performance-oriented version of the car has been spotted multiple times without camouflage. Reports suggest that the model was seen during a TV shoot, offering a clear glimpse of its design.
The Skoda Octavia RS boasts a sporty appearance, enhanced by LED matrix headlights and DRLs. It features 18-inch alloy wheels and striking body lines. The interior includes sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and other advanced features.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, delivering 216 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. Based on the UK-spec model, this version will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which is available in other markets.
Equipped with the 2.0-liter engine, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS variant sits 15 mm lower than the regular model. To further enhance its sporty appeal, the Czech brand has fitted this car with an exhaust system that differs from the normal variant.
Upon launch, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced around ₹50 lakh due to its CBU (Completely Built Unit) status. If priced as such, it will directly compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
