A mosque in Peacehaven, Britain, was set ablaze on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of two elderly individuals who were inside at the time. Authorities are treating the incident as a hate crime. According to a volunteer manager at the mosque, two masked individuals approached the building around 10 PM. They attempted to force entry before dousing the doors and stairs with petrol and setting them alight. The mosque chairman and a companion, both approximately 60 years old, were inside, enjoying tea. The volunteer heard a loud explosion and quickly escaped. This mosque was established four years ago and typically sees 10-15 people attending daily prayers.
