This suspension stems from serious allegations of assault on a youth who was reportedly held and beaten within the police station’s lock-up recently. Following the incident, the Senior Superintendent of Police had already suspended Sub-Inspector Diwakar Singh. A report concerning the Station Chief was subsequently forwarded to the Zonal IG, leading to this disciplinary measure.
