In response to student protests over the past two days, St. Xavier’s College management has reassured students that their well-being is the top priority. The administration is committed to protecting student interests and has announced an additional opportunity for promotion for those whose academic progression was disrupted. This measure will be implemented in accordance with established regulations.
The college also addressed allegations of misinformation, stating that certain individuals intentionally spread false narratives to tarnish the institution’s reputation. This included exaggerating the number of students facing promotion issues. Management clarified that the Principal and Vice-Principal were out of state due to a pre-scheduled program, refuting claims that they were unwilling to meet with students.
St. Xavier’s College reiterated its long-standing dedication to student welfare and assured that this commitment would not waver. Students are encouraged to directly engage with faculty members to resolve any academic concerns. The college highlighted that numerous communication channels have been established over the years to foster effective dialogue between students and the administration, ensuring student interests are addressed and that interactions with management and teachers remain productive.
