The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has unveiled its initial list of 25 candidates for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025. The party’s Bihar unit finalized the selection, aiming to represent the interests of the most marginalized communities across the state. Key nominations include Mohammed Kaif for Siwan, Anas Salam for Gopalganj AC, Advocate Shams Aagaz for Kishanganj, Rashid Khalil Ansari for Madhubani, and Mohammad Manzoor Alam for Araria, among others. The AIMIM expressed its ambition to become a significant voice for the oppressed in Bihar. The elections for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly are slated for November 6 and November 11, with vote counting scheduled for November 14. The political landscape features a contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan, led by Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD, alongside Congress and various Left parties. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj initiative has also put forth its candidates.
