India has officially upgraded its Technical Mission in Kabul to the full Embassy of India in Afghanistan, marking a significant step in deepening bilateral relations. This enhancement signals a strong commitment from India to foster cooperation in areas of shared interest with Afghanistan.
The decision, announced following recent high-level discussions, aims to bolster India’s support for Afghanistan’s development, humanitarian aid, and capacity-building initiatives. These efforts are designed to align with the priorities and aspirations of Afghan society.
This renewed diplomatic presence follows productive talks between India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi in New Delhi.
