Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has articulated a comprehensive vision for the Union Territory, centered on four key pillars: Peace, Progress, Prosperity, and People First. This framework aims to guide the region’s holistic development and restoration. Sinha emphasized that lasting peace is the bedrock for all advancement, highlighting the administration’s unwavering stance against terrorism through dismantled networks and robust law enforcement. Significant progress has been made in neutralizing terrorist leadership, fostering a secure environment for residents and investments. The second pillar, Progress, focuses on accelerated, all-encompassing development. This includes substantial investments in infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and streamlining public services, with major projects in highways and urban development leading the charge. Prosperity, the third pillar, is designed to ensure equitable economic growth and well-being for all residents. Initiatives are actively working towards job creation, attracting diverse investments, and ensuring that economic gains are distributed across society, thereby combating poverty and promoting self-sufficiency. The final pillar, People First, underscores a commitment to transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. This involves efficient grievance redressal, empowering local democratic institutions like Panchayati Raj, and championing social justice, especially for marginalized communities. E-governance platforms and citizen engagement tools are integral to this approach, aiming to transform Jammu and Kashmir into a hub of innovation and inclusive growth.
