Former minister and senior Congress leader K.N. Tripathi has voiced grave concerns, alleging that the state government is plotting his assassination following the withdrawal of his police security. Tripathi, who met with a reporter in Daltonganj, described the alarming situation where his protection is now solely in the hands of party workers armed with modern weaponry. This marks an unprecedented situation for a former minister in the state.
Tripathi recounted an incident where he was met by his private security detail, prompting him to question the absence of official police protection. He stated unequivocally, “The government wants to kill me. They want to suppress my voice.” He further implicated several police officials in a conspiracy. “According to protocol, the government is responsible for my security. But they have removed the security personnel. The government is not concerned about my safety,” he lamented.
He believes recent accusations of assaulting security personnel were part of a larger conspiracy. “A conspiracy was hatched against me, alleging I assaulted security personnel. Cases were filed against me under the Harijan Act and other laws. This was all part of the plot,” Tripathi revealed.
Addressing the presence of armed individuals accompanying him, Tripathi clarified they are dedicated Congress workers, not paid security. “There is no security guard. These are Congress workers, and they are protecting me of their own volition.” He emphasized his trust in the people of the Daltonganj region and asserted his fearlessness. “I am not going to be intimidated by anyone. Workers accompany me, and I don’t pay them. Some Congress workers voluntarily carry weapons and walk with me,” he explained.
Tripathi vowed to continue his fight against injustice. “My voice will not be silenced. I will continue to raise my voice against wrongdoings. The government must answer why my security was removed and why I was targeted in a conspiracy,” he demanded.
