Former minister and senior Congress leader K.N. Tripathi has accused the state government of attempting to orchestrate his assassination after his official police security was abruptly removed. Tripathi, who claims to be the first former minister in the state to be left without police protection, stated that his security is now entirely in the hands of his party workers. This drastic change followed an alleged altercation with security personnel, leading to the withdrawal of all government-provided guards. Tripathi expressed deep concern, suggesting a conspiracy involving police officials to silence him and remove his protection, which he believes is a government responsibility under protocol. He alleged that recent accusations of assaulting security personnel, resulting in cases under the Harijan Act and other charges, were part of this larger conspiracy. The former minister asserted that his voice will not be suppressed and he will continue to speak out against wrongdoing, demanding answers from the government regarding the security withdrawal and the alleged conspiracy against him. He clarified that the individuals accompanying him are dedicated Congress workers, not paid security, who voluntarily protect him with their own weapons out of loyalty.
