Hyundai has officially launched the eagerly anticipated second-generation models of its popular compact SUV, the Venue, and its sportier counterpart, the Venue N Line, in India. Building upon the strong foundation of its predecessor, the new Venue aims to redefine benchmarks in style, technology, and performance within its segment. With comprehensive upgrades to its design, features, and safety systems, Hyundai is positioning the updated Venue to further solidify its dominant market position.
The exterior design receives a significant overhaul, presenting a more assertive and contemporary look. The front fascia is characterized by a bold, rectangular grille with dark chrome accents and quad-beam LED headlamps, exuding a striking presence. Complementing this are distinctive C-shaped daytime running lights and a sleek, connected light bar across the top, adding a touch of premium refinement. The side profile is enhanced by newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, and subtle silver inserts featuring the Venue motif, contributing to a more dynamic silhouette. At the rear, the muscular design is accentuated by connected taillamps and a prominent 3D Venue logo, completing the SUV’s robust appearance.
Inside, the cabin boasts a completely re-imagined interior with a sophisticated dual-tone dark navy and dove white color scheme. The centerpiece of the dashboard is the impressive twin 12.3-inch curved display setup, a major highlight for technology enthusiasts. The dashboard trim also features a new terrazzo texture, elevating the cabin’s stylish appeal. Enhancements to rear-seat comfort include a 20mm longer wheelbase for increased legroom, alongside practical amenities such as rear AC vents, sunshades, and reclining seats, ensuring passenger comfort on extended drives.
A significant advancement comes with the introduction of Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), bringing enhanced safety and convenience features to the new Venue and Venue N Line. These advanced safety technologies are further bolstered by a suite of standard features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. The convenience quotient is further amplified by features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a voice-activated sunroof, ventilated front seats, and ambient interior lighting.
Under the hood, the new Hyundai Venue offers a versatile range of three engine options: a 1.2-liter petrol, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel. Notably, the diesel engine now provides an option for a 6-speed automatic transmission in addition to the manual gearbox. The performance-oriented Venue N Line is exclusively equipped with the spirited 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
The new Hyundai Venue is competitively priced, with its starting ex-showroom price set at Rs 7,89,000. This aggressive pricing, combined with its array of modern features, advanced technology, and appealing design, positions the Venue as a compelling value proposition in the highly contested compact SUV market in India.
