Students from the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, have successfully represented their university on the international stage at the 5th Cross-Examination Moot Court Competition 2025 held in Paris, France. This prestigious competition focused on the intricate art of cross-examining factual and expert witnesses in international arbitration. Teams from leading law universities globally, including India, participated in this significant event.
The NUSRL delegation comprised Vansh Gandhi, Shreya, Shraddha Raj, Garima Kiran, Yash Singh Naruka, and Abhaya Shruti. They faced formidable competition from esteemed institutions such as NLU Delhi, NALSAR Hyderabad, King’s College London, and the London School of Economics (LSE). Throughout the competition, the students demonstrated remarkable confidence, sharp analytical skills, and professional acumen.
The team presented their arguments at both Sciences Po Law School and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris. This immersive experience provided invaluable insights into complex legal matters on a global scale and offered a profound understanding of international judicial processes.
This competition was organized by Sciences Po Law School, Paris, with notable academic institutions like Queen Mary University of London, New York University, and the National University of Singapore serving as partners. Since its inception, the event has been recognized for its excellence, earning the title “Best Development of the Arbitration World” from Global Arbitration Review in 2021.
