Palamu police have initiated a heightened security operation along the inter-state border with Bihar in anticipation of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. This strategic move aims to fortify border security and effectively curb any illicit activities. Police patrols are intensifying in border-adjacent police station areas, including Pipra, Hariharganj, Haidernagar, Japla, Manatu, Dewri OP, Naudihia OP, and Naudihia Thana. Officers are conducting thorough vehicle checks, scrutinizing passengers and suspicious individuals. The primary objective is to prevent the movement of illegal liquor, large sums of cash, weapons, and other contraband. This comprehensive checking campaign, mandated by the Superintendent of Police, Palamu, is operating round-the-clock. Station house officers have been instructed to increase patrolling and establish more checkpoints. The Palamu police are urging citizens to cooperate in maintaining peace and ensuring a fair election process. Any information regarding suspicious activities should be reported immediately to the nearest police station or the police control room, reinforcing Palamu’s commitment to security and impartiality.
