The 5th District Level Karate Championship, organized by the Sports Karate Association of West Singhbhum, kicked off with a spectacular display of talent on Saturday. Held at the Community Hall of St. Xavier Welfare Center, the two-day event saw an impressive participation of approximately 225 young athletes from across the district. The championship was inaugurated by the joint lighting of a lamp by distinguished guests, including Sub-Divisional Officer Sandeep Anurag Topno, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bahaman Tuti, and District Sports Officer Marcus Hembram. This event highlights the growing interest and development of karate within the region, providing a crucial platform for aspiring martial artists to showcase their skills and compete at a district level. The competition continues on November 16th, promising more thrilling bouts.
