An attempted large-scale theft at the Tata Steel Works premises was thwarted thanks to the vigilant security department. Company security personnel swiftly apprehended four young men and handed them over to the police. Authorities have taken the accused into custody and are proceeding with legal action against them. The incident occurred around 1 AM on Saturday night when patrolling security guards spotted the four individuals attempting to transport a heavy sack filled with copper cables. Approximately 690 kilograms of copper cable, valued at around 1.97 lakh rupees in the market, were recovered. The arrested individuals have been identified as residents from the Garib Nawaz Colony and Gaushnagar, Mango area. Company security reported that they became suspicious and immediately cordoned off the area, catching the four youths red-handed as they tried to flee with the loaded sacks. The security team seized the cables and detained the suspects on the spot. Bistupur police station officers arrived promptly upon receiving information about the incident and took the four youths into custody for further legal proceedings. The prompt and active response by the security department successfully prevented a significant potential theft within the works complex before it could occur.
