The film ‘Varanasi’, directed by SS Rajamouli, features Mahesh Babu as the protagonist ‘Rudhra.’ Priyanka Chopra herself is set to portray the character of Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran will play Kumbha. The highly anticipated film is slated for a Sankranti 2027 release.
Priyanka had previously shared a glimpse of the film’s teaser on her own Instagram, hinting at its depth. The teaser showcases Mahesh Babu’s character in a fierce pose, holding a trishul and appearing bloodied while riding a bull, giving fans a dramatic first look. The official title announcement and teaser screening took place at the grand GlobeTrotter event held at Ramoji Film City.
