The vibrant world of Odia music is mourning the untimely demise of popular singer Humane Sagar, who passed away at the age of 36. Sagar died on Monday evening at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar, where he had been undergoing treatment for multiple organ failure for the past three days. AIIMS Bhubaneswar confirmed that despite intensive and advanced medical care from a specialist team, Sagar did not respond to treatment and passed away at 9:08 PM. His condition was attributed to several critical issues, including bilateral pneumonia, acute on chronic liver failure, dilated cardiomyopathy with severe left ventricular systolic dysfunction, multi-organ dysfunction syndrome with refractory shock, severe respiratory failure, anuric acute kidney injury, and encephalopathy. The news has sent shockwaves across Odisha, with numerous personalities from politics and the arts expressing their deep sorrow. His legacy includes over 100 Odia songs that have resonated with audiences.
