Farmers Lakshman, Chhagan and Khorbahra faced no trouble selling paddy, were able to sell paddy easily
All facilities in the society are in order
Raipur, November 18, 2025/The state government’s ambitious Krishi Unnati Yojana, bringing Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai’s good governance and farmer welfare priorities to the ground, is becoming a medium of real change for farmers today. Improved support prices, transparent and convenient procurement systems, and reforms like the token system have made the paddy selling process easy, fast, and reliable. The direct benefit of this is reaching equally from marginal farmers to large farmers, and farmers are increasing production with more enthusiasm and confidence.
Mr. Lakshman Dhruv, a resident of village Mongra in the development block of Mahasamund district, reached the rural service cooperative society Jhalkhamharia procurement center to sell his 54 kaddas of paddy. He said that he got a token 3 days ago, which gave him the facility to sell paddy on time. The government’s transparent token system and quick registration made his process easy. He has one acre of land. Similarly, Mr. Khorbahara Sahu, a resident of Mongra, said that he has produced 8.80 quintals of paddy from his 42 decimal agricultural land. He has produced his crop by taking continuous care and the benefit of the facilities provided by the government. He said that he had no trouble selling paddy. Meanwhile, Mr. Chhagan Lal Sahu, a resident of Mongra, has procured 250 kaddas of paddy this year from the 10 acres of agricultural land registered in the name of his father, Punit Ram Sahu.
The government’s decision to purchase paddy at the rate of 21 quintals per acre and provide a support price of Rs 3100 per quintal is a big relief for the farmers. Mr. Lakshman Dhruv, Mr. Khorbahara Sahu, and Mr. Chhagan Lal Sahu, residents of Mongra, expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai.
