In a significant development for internal security, Jharkhand’s acting Director General of Police (DGP), T. Adasha Mishra, has declared a decisive crackdown on Naxalite activities in the Saranda forest region of West Singhbhum. Arriving in Chaibasa, the DGP was warmly welcomed by administrative and security personnel. Following a formal Guard of Honour, DGP Mishra convened a high-level meeting to meticulously review anti-Naxal operations and strategies. The discussions focused intently on the operational challenges within the dense Saranda jungle, the deployment of security forces, resource allocation, and inter-agency coordination. Emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the police, CRPF, Cobra, and Jaguar battalions, DGP Mishra expressed confidence that these joint operations are yielding positive results. She unequivocally stated that the remaining Naxal elements in Saranda will be neutralized imminently, with all necessary preparations now in place. The DGP stressed that analyzing and rectifying field-level challenges is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness and precision of future missions. She highlighted teamwork as the paramount strength of the security forces, underscoring the commitment to conducting operations in a secure, well-planned, and systematic manner.
