Conference Theme: ‘Developed India: Security Dimensions’

The Prime Minister will also present the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service.
Raipur, November 27, 2025 / The Prime Minister will participate in the 60th edition of the All India Conference of Director Generals/Inspectors General of Police at the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on November 29-30, 2025.
This conference will be held from November 28 to 30. Its aim is to review the progress made in tackling major police challenges so far and to outline a visionary roadmap for building a ‘Secure India’ in line with the national vision of ‘Developed India’.
Organized on the theme ‘Developed India: Security Dimensions’, this conference will feature detailed discussions on key security issues such as Left Wing Extremism, counter-terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety, and the use of forensic science and AI in policing. The Prime Minister will also present the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service.
This conference provides an important interactive platform for senior police officers and security administrators from across the country to engage in open and meaningful deliberations on various issues of national security. It also facilitates the development and sharing of professional practices for crime prevention, maintaining law and order, and countering internal security threats, along with discussing the operational, infrastructural, and welfare challenges faced by police forces.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has shown continuous keen interest in this annual conference and has encouraged candid discussions. He has created an environment where new ideas for policing can emerge. Professional sessions, detailed interactions, and thematic discussions provide participants with an opportunity to directly share their views with the Prime Minister on critical internal security and policy matters.
Since 2014, the nature of this conference has been continuously refined under the Prime Minister’s guidance, including its organization at various locations across the country. This conference has been held in Guwahati (Assam), Rann of Kutch (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Telangana), Tekanpur (Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh), Statue of Unity (Kevadiya, Gujarat), Pune (Maharashtra), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), New Delhi, Jaipur (Rajasthan), and Bhubaneswar (Odisha). Continuing this tradition, the 60th Director General of Police/Inspector General of Police Conference is being organized this year in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The Union Home Minister, National Security Advisor, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Director Generals of Police of States/Union Territories, and heads of Central Police Organizations will participate in this conference. To bring forth new and innovative ideas, Principal Secretaries of Home Departments of States/Union Territories and a select few police officers at the DIG and SP level will also participate in the conference this year.
