Raipur, November 26, 2025/Star player of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, Sanju Devi, a resident of Chhattisgarh, called on Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in the capital Raipur yesterday.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Sanju Devi for her excellent performance in the World Cup, bringing laurels to Chhattisgarh and the country. He said, “You have set a new example of women’s empowerment. Seeing you, the daughters of the state will move forward with more enthusiasm in the world of sports. This achievement will undoubtedly prove to be an inspiration in honing the sporting talent of future generations.” During the meeting, Sanju Devi also shared her life journey, struggles, and experiences related to sports with Chief Minister Mr. Sai.
It is noteworthy that the star player of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, Sanju Devi, is a resident of Kerakchhar village in Korba district. She also received the title of Most Valuable Player in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. This prestigious tournament was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, between November 17 and November 24.
During the meeting, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Youth Commission Mr. Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, President of Chhattisgarh Kabaddi Association Mr. Shashikant Baghel, Treasurer Mr. Seva Ram Sahu, former coach Mr. Anuj Pratap Singh, current coach Mr. Dil Kumar Rathore, and other officials were also present.
