Cricket star Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal’s highly anticipated wedding has been put on hold due to unforeseen health emergencies within the families. The ceremony, initially scheduled to take place soon, was indefinitely postponed after Smriti’s father experienced a severe health downturn just a day before the planned nuptials. Adding to the stress, Palash himself subsequently faced a health scare and required hospitalization.
Now that both Smriti’s father and Palash have been discharged and are recovering, fans are eagerly anticipating an update on a new wedding date. Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, had previously confirmed the postponement, stating, “Due to Smriti’s dad’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the family in this sensitive time.” This statement aimed to manage public expectations and prevent further speculation.
Amidst persistent rumors suggesting a potential cancellation, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has offered a reassuring statement. She clarified that the wedding has not been called off, expressing optimism about the future. “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome… Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi,” she reportedly said. This statement is expected to quell fears sparked by Smriti’s social media activity, where some wedding-related posts were removed, though this was not an indication of cancellation.
Following the postponement, Palash reportedly suffered a significant spike in blood pressure, leading to his hospitalization. He was initially treated in Sangli before being moved to Mumbai. He has since been released from the hospital, and his health is reported to be stable.
