The Raj Bhavan in Jharkhand, the official residence of the Governor, has officially been renamed ‘Lok Bhavan’. This significant change was announced through an order issued by Nitin Madan Kulkarni, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, on Wednesday. The notification confirms that both the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi and its counterpart in Dumka will now be recognized as Lok Bhavan. This rebranding initiative, approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Jharkhand Governor, aims to imbue the institution with a more people-centric and democratic identity. The transition to the new name will be reflected across all official records, correspondence, signage, and public boards in the coming days.
