Jharkhand’s government schools are set to revolutionize student assessment with the introduction of digital report cards. This progressive initiative will initially launch as a pilot project in 80 ‘Schools of Excellence’ across the state. The plan is to eventually extend this digital reporting system to all government schools, marking a significant leap towards modernizing educational practices.
Sir JC Bose School of Excellence Girls, Giridih, will be among the first to issue these digital reports on December 5th. Principal Munna Prasad Kushwaha explained that the digital report card meticulously details student performance in the Summative Assessment One (SA-1). It categorizes achievements into scholastic and co-scholastic areas. The final grade is a weighted combination, with 40% from term-end monthly exams and 60% from SA-1. An ‘Open House’ event on December 5th will showcase these digital reports via projector, offering parents and students a clear view of academic progress.
