Renault India has launched an updated version of its popular SUV, the Renault Kiger 2025. The new Kiger boasts increased safety features, now including six airbags and 21 advanced safety features. The base variant is priced at ₹6.29 lakhs. This makes it a compelling option in the family car segment, combining a stylish design, modern interior, and powerful performance.
The Kiger 2025 introduces a revised variant strategy. The Authentic (base variant) starts at ₹6.29 lakhs, the Evolution at ₹7.09 lakhs, the Techno at ₹8.90 lakhs, and the Emotion at approximately ₹9.14 lakhs. These prices are for the non-turbo petrol engine versions.
For the turbo-petrol range, the Techno (with CVT gearbox) is priced at ₹9.99 lakhs, and the Emotion (Turbo Petrol) is priced between ₹9.99 lakhs and ₹11.29 lakhs. These are introductory prices applicable during the festive season.
The design has undergone subtle yet impactful changes to give the Kiger a refreshed appearance. It features a new front bumper with LED headlights and LED fog lamps, while retaining the DRLs. Additionally, the updated model includes new 16-inch alloy wheels, minor rear modifications, and a new Oasis Yellow color option.
The interior has also been updated to improve the driving experience, with a new dashboard layout that includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
In terms of safety, the Kiger 2025 comes equipped with six airbags and 21 active and passive safety features, such as hill hold assist and a tire pressure monitoring system. The new Kiger retains the same engine options as the previous model, including a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 71 bhp of power and 96 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
