Audi India has announced price reductions across its vehicle lineup, effective immediately. The move is a direct response to revised GST rates impacting the automotive sector. The price adjustments, which vary by model, aim to provide cost savings to potential buyers. Several other major car manufacturers, including Hyundai, Tata Motors, Toyota, Renault, Mahindra, and Mercedes-Benz, have also announced similar price cuts in response to the new GST regulations.
The price reductions range from ₹2.60 lakh to ₹7.80 lakh, offering customers a more accessible entry point into the Audi brand. This is expected to boost sales, especially during the upcoming festive season. The adjustment stems from changes in the GST structure applicable to passenger vehicles in India.
Previously, cars over 4 meters were subject to a 28% GST, plus an additional compensation cess ranging from 15% to 22%. Under the new regulations, while the GST has been increased to 40%, the compensation cess has been eliminated, resulting in an overall tax reduction.
The starting price of the Q3 SUV has been reduced from ₹46.14 lakh to ₹43.07 lakh. The A4 now starts at ₹46.2 lakh, down from ₹48.89 lakh. The Q7 now starts at ₹86.14 lakh, compared to ₹92.29 lakh. The Q5 is now priced at ₹63.75 lakh, down from ₹68.30 lakh. The A6 starts at ₹63.74 lakh, reduced from ₹67.38 lakh. Finally, the Q8 is now priced at ₹1.10 crore, reduced from ₹1.18 crore. Customers are encouraged to visit their local Audi India dealership or the official Audi India website to get the specific pricing for their preferred models.
