Following a three-month increase, the Indian automobile retail sector experienced a sales decline in July 2025. According to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), overall vehicle sales decreased by 4.31 percent year-on-year (YoY) and 1.98 percent month-on-month (MoM). Retail sales of passenger vehicles in July 2025 stood at 328,613 units, compared to 331,280 units in the same month last year, representing a 0.81 percent decrease year-over-year. This section saw a 10.38 percent increase from June 2025 sales of 297,722 units, with greater support coming from rural and urban sectors. Vehicle manufacturing companies are also focusing on new launches. Therefore, vehicle manufacturing companies and dealerships are awaiting the festive season.
