The Tata Sierra is in its final testing stages before its market launch in the coming months. Spy photos reveal a camouflaged test mule with a boxy stance, shark fin antenna, and flush door handles. Steel wheels and hubcaps suggest that the observed test mule is the base variant. The top variant, ready for production, is likely to feature 19-inch alloy wheels.
The wheel arch cladding, elevated set-bonnet, and signature curved-over rear window will further enhance its striking appearance. This SUV will have a split headlamp setup at the front and a connected LED light strip at the rear.
Inside the cabin, the Tata Sierra is expected to have a three-screen floating setup, with one screen approximately 12.3 inches. One screen will serve as the infotainment system, another as the instrument cluster, and the third screen will be for the front passengers. Features such as a dual-tone dashboard, a Harman sound system, a four-spoke steering wheel taken from the Harrier EV, an illuminated Tata logo, and ambient lights will also be included.
The base variant of the Tata Sierra may lack some premium features, such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Other features may include a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, and electronic stability control.
The Tata Sierra will initially be offered with an electric powertrain, taken from the Harrier EV. The Harrier EV has a 65kWh battery with a single motor and a 75kWh battery pack with single and dual motors. The smaller battery variant claims a range of 538 km, while the larger battery variants offer a range of 627 km (75kWh RWD) and 622 km (75kWh AWD).
The ICE-based Sierra will arrive early next year with all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0L diesel engines. Later, a new, more powerful 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine will also be added to the SUV model lineup.
