Following the implementation of GST 2.0, nearly all vehicle manufacturers have reduced the prices of their bikes and scooters. Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced model-wise GST benefits across its scooter and motorcycle portfolio.
Suzuki’s entry-level scooters, including the Access and Avenis, are among the most popular options in the Indian market. Under the new GST 2.0, the Access now offers a GST benefit of ₹8,523, while the sporty Avenis has become cheaper by ₹7,823. The Burgman Street range, catering to buyers seeking maxi-scooter styling, will also benefit.
Standard Burgman Street offers a profit of ₹8,373, while the Burgman Street EX has become cheaper by ₹9,798. The impact is even more evident in Suzuki’s motorcycle lineup. Significant tax savings are available on the Gixxer series, which are main motorcycles in the 150cc to 250cc segment. The Gixxer 150 is now cheaper by ₹11,520, while the fully-faired Gixxer SF offers a savings of ₹12,311.
The Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 come with profits of approximately ₹16,525 and ₹18,024, respectively. Adventure enthusiasts will also benefit from GST 2.0, as Suzuki’s V-Strom SX is offering a benefit of ₹17,982 in the domestic market.
The recent price cuts in the auto sector bring a significant advantage to customers. Particularly, where prices were previously rising for bikes and vehicles above 350cc, companies like Suzuki are now making their products more value for money. This change not only provides buyers with affordable options but may also lead to a sharp rise in demand during the festive season.
