Mercedes-Benz India has announced price cuts across its entire car and SUV lineup, driven by the implementation of the new GST 2.0 framework by the Indian government. This tax restructuring, effective from September 22, 2025, consolidates vehicle taxation under a flat 40% GST slab for passenger cars, replacing the previous system of 28% GST plus a cess. This change lowers the overall tax burden on premium and luxury vehicles. Electric vehicles continue to benefit from a concessional GST rate, aligning with the government’s push for sustainable mobility. Mercedes-Benz will pass the full tax savings to customers, timed with the festive season. Skoda India is also offering festive deals and GST benefits across its lineup: Skoda Kodiaq benefits include savings of up to Rs 5.8 lakh, Skoda Kushaq buyers can save up to Rs 3.1 lakh, and Skoda Slavia offers savings of up to Rs 1.8 lakh. Mahindra models also feature savings: Bolero/Bolero Neo customers save Rs 1.27 lakh, XUV3XO Petrol buyers save Rs 1.40 lakh, XUV3XO Diesel buyers save Rs 1.56 lakh, Thar 2WD Diesel buyers save Rs 1.35 lakh, Thar 4WD Diesel buyers save Rs 1.01 lakh, Scorpio Classic buyers save Rs 1.01 lakh, Scorpio N buyers save Rs 1.45 lakh, Thar Roxx buyers save Rs 1.33 lakh, and XUV700 buyers save Rs 1.43 lakh. GLS 450d AMG Line is reduced by Rs 10 lakh. A 200d (entry-level saloon) price is down by Rs 2.6 lakh. C 300 AMG Line is reduced by Rs 3.7 lakh. E-Class LWB 450 4MATIC price drops by Rs 6 lakh.
