The Hero Vida VX2 is poised to make its debut soon, following recent testing in India. This new model, slated for a July 1st launch under the Vida banner, will showcase unique styling and features compared to the existing V2 lineup. However, the VX2 will share the same core platform as its predecessor.
Notably, the Vida VX2 is expected to be more budget-friendly than the V2 models. Dealership sightings have also offered glimpses into the VX2’s design, which is more conventional and understated. While the design and features of the VX2 differ from the V2, both scooters will share internal components such as the battery, motor, chassis, and electronics. This strategic move allows Hero to leverage its existing component inventory and production capabilities, thereby achieving improved economies of scale.
The current Hero Vida lineup begins with the V2 Lite, priced at Rs 74,000, featuring a 2.2 KWH battery, and extends to Rs 1.20 lakh for the V2 Pro. Pricing details for the new scooter have not been released, but speculation suggests an aggressive price point. The VX2 is scheduled to launch on July 1st.
Prior leaks provided initial views of the affordable Vida VX2, spotted without camouflage a few months back. Images released by Car And Bike.com indicated multiple VX2 variants. These may include trim levels such as Lite, Plus, and Pro. The Hero Vida VX2 is anticipated to start at Rs 74,000 ex-showroom for the base variant, with the mid-spec version priced at Rs 85,000 and the top-spec at Rs 1,15,300. The VX2 is expected to include front disc brakes and telescopic front and rear shock absorbers.
The undisguised scooter showcased a digital dashboard with a joystick for screen operation. For user safety, the scooter will have a dedicated SOS button for emergencies.
Like the V2, the Vida VX2 will have a removable battery. The model lineup mirrors that of the V2, with Lite, Plus, and Pro trims. The base variant is expected to feature a 2.2 KWH battery pack, and the top-spec will be launched with a 3.4 KWH battery. According to a report by Car and Bike .com, the Vida VX2 will be powered by a permanent magnet motor, with output potentially lower than the V2’s 6Kw peak.
