Hero Vida is gearing up to launch the VX2, a new electric scooter model, on July 1st. Testing of the scooter has been ongoing in India, and it’s expected to offer a different design and features compared to the existing V2 lineup. While sharing the same platform, the VX2 aims to be more affordable. Dealership sightings have provided glimpses of the VX2’s conventional styling, which differs from the V2. Key components like the battery, motor, chassis, and electronics will be shared between the models to leverage existing manufacturing capabilities. The current Hero Vida range starts at Rs 74,000 for the V2 Lite and goes up to Rs 1.20 lakh for the V2 Pro. Pricing for the VX2 has not been officially announced, but a competitive price point is anticipated. Leaked images suggest multiple VX2 variants, possibly including Lite, Plus, and Pro trims. The VX2 is expected to feature front disc brakes, telescopic suspension, and a digital dashboard with a joystick control and an SOS button for emergencies. Battery options are likely to mirror the V2, with a 2.2 kWh pack for the base variant and a 3.4 kWh battery for the top-spec model. The VX2 will feature a permanent magnet motor, with a lower output compared to the V2’s 6kW peak.
