Hyundai Motor India has announced significant price reductions across its entire model lineup. This move, effective September 22, 2025, will pass on the benefits of the new GST 2.0 tax structure directly to customers. Hyundai claims that the price adjustments will result in savings of up to ₹2.4 lakh depending on the model and variant. This change is expected to make car purchases easier for new buyers and will also boost sales during the upcoming festive season.
Hyundai i20 Benefits Across All Variants: The company’s premium hatchback, Hyundai i20, is one of the best-selling models, and it sees price cuts of up to ₹85,000. For instance, the Magna variant, previously priced at ₹7,78,800, is now available for ₹7,12,385 after a reduction of ₹66,415. Similarly, the Magna Exe variant has seen a price drop of ₹50,900, bringing its new price to ₹6,86,865.
The mid-level Sportz variant now costs approximately ₹67,397 less, with a new price of ₹7,74,403. The Sportz (O) and Sportz (IVT) variants also have reductions of over 9%. Top-end versions like Asta and Asta (O) have also become more affordable, benefiting buyers at every level.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Price Adjustments: For those planning to buy a new car within a budget, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will now be more accessible. This model has seen a maximum price reduction of ₹71,480.
The Era variant’s price has been reduced from ₹5,98,300 to ₹5,47,278, while the Magna variant is now priced at ₹6,25,853. The Sportz Dual CNG trim has seen the most significant benefit, with its price dropping from ₹8,38,200 to ₹7,66,720.
Good News for Sedan Buyers: Hyundai Aura, a part of the compact sedan segment, is also included in this price reduction. The price cuts range from ₹55,780 to ₹76,316 across various variants. The base E trim is now available for ₹5,98,320, while the E CNG variant offers a benefit of ₹64,368. The newly launched S AMT variant now costs ₹7,38,812. Top variants such as SX CNG, SX+, and SX (O) have also seen price reductions, making these models even more affordable for new customers.
Anticipated Sales Boost During the Festive Season: The company believes that these significant price cuts will increase interest, especially among first-time car buyers. People generally plan to buy new cars during the festive season, and with prices reduced by thousands to lakhs of rupees, this is expected to further boost demand.
