Tata is preparing to launch a new variant of the Sierra SUV in India. This SUV was popular in the 1990s. The brand showcased the Tata Sierra at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. The SUV has been spotted during testing, hinting at its premium interior. Although Tata has not yet specified the exact launch date, it is expected that the Tata Sierra will launch by Diwali 2025.
Tata Sierra Engine
The Tata Sierra may be equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine, which will be paired with the 2.0-liter Multijet engine from the Tata Nexon or Harrier. Electric variants will also have different battery options. Recently, Tata introduced the ‘Quad Wheel Drive’ feature in the new Harrier EV, and it may offer this feature in the top trims of the Tata Sierra.
Tata Sierra Interior and Features
According to media reports, the interior of this car could be quite powerful. It will get a digital driver’s display and a large center touchscreen for infotainment. All three screens appear to be approximately 12.3 inches and have a floating design, reminiscent of the concept variant presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. Floating center console and panoramic sunroof, four-spoke steering wheel and touch-based AC controls may be available in this car.
Tata Sierra Exterior
In addition to the screens, the dashboard has a dual-tone finish, soft-touch material, and ambient lighting that extends towards the front. The steering wheel has also been given a new design, with a four-spoke look and an illuminated brand logo in the middle. The exterior of the Tata Sierra has been given a fresh and boxy look. Testing photos suggest it will also have a full-width LED strip, sequential LED turn indicators, and a sturdy bumper design.
