Jeep, a prominent seller of robust SUVs, has initiated a recall of 80,000 Wrangler SUVs in the United States. According to reports, the popular SUV manufacturer identified a defect in the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) of these Wrangler models, necessitating a recall for repairs. The issue involves a cable that may be susceptible to compression, potentially causing the TPMS to malfunction. The carmaker determined that the problem originated during assembly, and the affected cable will be replaced at no cost if required.
