Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition Stock Exhausts in Record Time, Receives Overwhelming Response

Mahindra recently launched the BE 6 Batman Edition electric SUV, inspired by The Dark Knight Trilogy. The car’s popularity was such that it sold out completely in a mere 135 seconds. Initially, the company planned only 300 units, but due to high demand, this was increased to 999 units. Surprisingly, even the expanded production run was fully booked within minutes.

The SUV’s appeal lies in its striking design, Batman-themed styling, and limited-edition status. This Mahindra model not only establishes a new identity in the electric segment but also demonstrates the strong demand for premium and theme-based electric cars in the Indian market. All units were booked within 135 seconds of sales commencing at 11:00 AM on August 23.

The BE 6 Batman Edition incorporates new cosmetic elements, mirroring the standard SUV version. It features an exclusive satin black exterior paint job, custom Batman decals on the front doors, and “BE 6 × The Dark Knight” badging at the rear. For a more powerful look, it includes new R20 alloy wheels, while the suspension components feature an Alchemy Gold finish.

Inside, the car includes features like the steering wheel, in-touch controller, and electronic parking brake, with the key fob designed in a matching Alchemy Gold color. The bat symbol is prominently displayed on the “Boost” button, seatbacks, interior labels, and passenger-side dashboard pinstripe graphics. The Dark Knight theme continues with Batman Edition branding on racecar-inspired door straps, a Batman Edition welcome animation on the infotainment display, and even custom exterior sounds inspired by the Batmobile.

Regarding the engine, the BE 6 Batman variant is based on the Pack Three variant with a 79 kWh battery pack. This electric SUV offers a range of up to 682 km on a single charge. The 59 kWh variant generates 230 bhp and the 79 kWh version generates 285 bhp, with both offering the same torque of 380 Nm. The BE 6 supports DC fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
