Mahindra & Mahindra, in collaboration with Warner Bros., the creators of the DC Comics films, has launched a special edition of its first electric SUV, the BE 6 Dark (Batman Edition). This electric car incorporates designs and features inspired by the Batman films and comics, setting it apart from other dark-themed vehicles.
Bookings for this special edition electric car will begin on August 23rd. Deliveries will commence on September 20th, coinciding with Batman Day. Only 300 units will be produced, making it a collector’s item. The price is set at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This edition presents a unique opportunity for those seeking a superhero-themed SUV.
Key design features include a special satin black body color. There’s a Batman decal on the front door, a Dark Knight badge on the tailgate, and Batman logos on the fenders, bumpers, and reverse lamps. It features 19-inch wheels, with an option for 20-inch. The hub caps also bear the Batman logo.
Brakes and springs feature Alchemy Gold paint. The infinity roof showcases the Dark Knight trilogy’s emblem. Inside, there’s a Night Trail carpet and Batman logo projection. This is not just a car; it’s a tribute to the guardian of Gotham City.
Inside the interior, there’s a brushed Alchemy plate on the dashboard with the edition number. A gold-colored frame surrounds the driver’s cockpit. Suede and leather seats have golden accents. There’s Dark Knight trilogy badging. Pinstripe graphics and branding are present on the dashboard. The steering wheel, controllers, EPB, and key fob also display the Batman logo.
The exclusive Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition electric SUV is based on the Pack Three variant. It houses a 79 kWh battery pack that can deliver a range of 682 km on a single charge, as per ARAI. It is a rear-wheel-drive SUV, with a powerful motor installed in the rear axle. This unit generates 286 hp of power and 380 Nm of torque.
