The premium hatchback segment continues to see consistent sales, with the Maruti Baleno emerging as the best-selling car in August 2025. Its sales figures equaled the combined sales of all its competitors. While the Hyundai i20 experienced positive monthly growth, it faced the most significant year-over-year sales decline. The Maruti Baleno led the pack with over 12,500 units sold in August. Its monthly sales remained stable, while its yearly sales increased by 1 percent. The Maruti Baleno is priced between ₹6.74 lakh and ₹9.96 lakh (ex-showroom). It includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a high-speed warning alert, and reverse parking sensors.
