Maruti and Toyota collaborated to develop the Grand Vitara and Hyryder. The Grand Vitara features a mild-hybrid engine similar to the Hyryder. This 1462cc K15 engine produces approximately 100 bhp of power at 6,000 RPM and 135 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. It incorporates a mild-hybrid system and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The strong hybrid e-CVT variant offers a mileage of 27.97 kmpl, while the mild-hybrid 5-speed MT delivers 21.11 kmpl, and the mild-hybrid 6-speed AT provides 20.58 kmpl.
The Maruti Grand Vitara Hybrid is equipped with features such as a 360-degree view camera and six airbags for safety. Other features include a reverse parking camera, rear reflectors, regenerative braking, a multi-function steering wheel, power-adjustable exterior rear-view mirrors, a shark fin antenna, rear seat USB and C-type charging outlets, 60-40 split rear seats, climate control, a 360° camera, and an electronic stability program.
