Maruti Suzuki is a leading car seller in the Indian market, and the Baleno continues to dominate the premium hatchback segment. Demand for the Baleno is rapidly increasing, and it comes equipped with six airbags. In the Bharat NCAP crash test, it received a 4-star rating. In July 2025, 12,600 units of the Baleno were sold, surpassing competitors like the Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz. The ex-showroom price of this car starts at ₹6.70 lakh. The car was widely purchased in the first 10 months of the financial year 2025. From April 2024 to January 2025, a total of 1,39,324 units were sold. The Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder K12N petrol engine that generates 83 bhp. There is also an option for a 1.2-liter dual jet petrol engine, which produces 90 bhp. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission options. The Baleno CNG version features a 1.2-liter dual jet petrol engine. Safety features include a 360-degree camera (for the Alpha trim only), seat belts with hill hold assist, brake assist, ISOFIX anchorage, and more. The 2025 Maruti Baleno lineup will continue with the 1.2-liter petrol engine, delivering 90 bhp, and comes with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. This hatchback also comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit, available only in the Delta and Zeta trims. The Baleno features a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, a reversing camera, and rear parking sensors.
