Maruti Suzuki, the leading car seller in India, recently rolled out its first electric car, the e-Vitara (EV), which is slated for launch in India soon but has already been introduced in several other countries. This ‘Made-in-India’ car is being exported from India to approximately 100 countries, marking a significant achievement in exports. The Maruti Fronx is currently the most popular exported car.
The Maruti Fronx was launched in the Indian market in April 2023. The export of the Fronx commenced in 2023. It holds the distinction of being the first ‘Made in India’ SUV exported by Maruti Suzuki to Japan. These exports to Japan played a crucial role in helping the Fronx become the fastest SUV to reach the milestone of 1 lakh exports. It is also a popular model in countries like Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. The Maruti Fronx reached this position in just 25 months after its global sales began in June 2023. The car is manufactured at Maruti’s plant in Gujarat.
