The upcoming Maruti Victoris SUV is poised to launch with a host of advanced features. Positioned as Maruti’s new flagship SUV, it’s designed with a focus on younger buyers and families. A key highlight is that the Victoris will be the first Maruti vehicle to incorporate ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) technology, enhancing driving safety with features like automatic braking, lane keeping, and collision avoidance. Furthermore, the vehicle will include a Dolby Atmos audio system for an enriched music experience. Adding to its appeal, the car has secured a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, marking it as one of the safest Maruti cars to date. In terms of engine options, the Victoris will be available in petrol, petrol-hybrid, and CNG versions.
Bookings for the SUV have commenced for a token amount of ₹11,000. While the official launch date hasn’t been declared, the Victoris is anticipated to hit showrooms before Diwali. To capitalize on the upcoming festive season, the car manufacturer may launch the SUV around Navratri (September 22nd to October 2nd). The car will be available in 6 trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+, and ZXI+ (O). The entry-level variant offers a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant, a Type A front USB charger, push button start/stop, smart key, a pollen air filter, automatic AC, rear AC vents, 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, an electric stability program, hill hold assist, a tire repair kit, Isofix child seat anchors, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers. With an estimated price of approximately ₹10 lakh, the base variant presents a budget-friendly option, though it will lack some premium features.
The high-end ZXI+ variant includes Level-2 ADAS, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, 4 speakers, a head-up display, 2 Type-C front USB-C chargers, terrain mode (AWD), and machine-cut 17-inch alloy wheels. The ZXi+ (O) variant additionally features a panoramic sunroof. Being fully loaded, these variants will come with a higher price tag, estimated to be around ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). If your budget allows, the top-end ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) variants would be the best choices. The most value-for-money variant will be determined after the official price reveal. However, the Maruti Victoris ZXI already stands as a strong contender. It features a larger 10.25-inch driver display, black-ivory interior upholstery, an automatic IRVM, black-out 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, DRLs, and fog lamps, along with all the features available in the lower variants.
