The cruiser motorcycle segment in India is highly popular, with companies like Jawa, Yezdi, and Royal Enfield dominating. Royal Enfield motorcycles are known for their strong sales. Initially, the prices of these motorcycles were high, but with the implementation of GST 2.0, Royal Enfield bikes are becoming more affordable. The company has released a new price list for its entire 350cc range.
Following the Indian government’s reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates and the elimination of the compensation cess, Royal Enfield announced that prices of all its 350cc motorcycles would decrease by up to ₹22,000. The motorcycle manufacturer has now issued the new price list for its entire lineup.
New prices will be effective from September 22, 2025. The 350cc range starts with the Hunter 350 base retro trim at ₹1.38 lakh. The most expensive model in this range is the top-spec Goa Classic variant, priced at ₹2.20 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Previously, all two-wheelers, including motorcycles and scooters, were subject to a 31 percent tax (28 percent GST + 3 percent cess). Following recent amendments, all two-wheelers with an engine capacity of less than 350cc will be required to pay a uniform 18 percent GST.
While prices have decreased for the 350cc range, motorcycles with larger engine capacities have seen price increases. These include models like Scram 440, Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, and Super Meteor 650. The Super Meteor experienced the largest increase in prices, approximately ₹30,000. These motorcycles will now be subject to a 40 percent GST, whereas in the previous system, buyers had to pay 31 percent tax (28 percent GST + 3 percent cess).
